Brewers Description of Indian Summer Beer:
“Indian Summer is a light profile American-style wheat ale spiced with Orange Peel and Coriander. Our recipe uses a mix of wheat and pale barley. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the spices to shine through. Clean fermenting yeast produce a very dry, crisp base to further accentuate the spices. The aroma has a distinct citrus note without being overly fruity.”
Indian Summer beer is audibly fizzy with a light gold appearance and a parade of small bubbles rising from the bottom. The light hoppy aroma is a hospitable introduction to what is to follow. Tasting reveals a light bodied beer with orange notes at the front. Healthy carbonation tickles the tongue on the pass. A hint of Coriander is present from start to finish with few additional spices at the end. Indian Summer has a clean tart lemon citrus conclusion.
Indian Summer is a very pleasant experience and a great way to escape a the sweltering heat. The beer is not wildly unique, but is very refreshing and tasty.
