Brewers Description of this Summer Cherry Beer:
“You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no-hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.”
Cerise displays a surprising bright cherry red color . Despite the vibrant color, there is very little aroma. There is a very sweet start to Cerise which turns tart toward the back. A little yeasty flavor catches up on the finally. The cherry added to Cerise is definitely more dominant than beer.
Cerise summer cherry beer does get points for originality and it is refreshing. Take Cerise fruit beer for a walk around the block and see if she makes an impression on you.
