A cool refreshing summer drink can magically transform a sweltering sweat-drenched mid-July afternoon into a tranquil temporary vacation (with no screaming kids). Here is that summer beer recipe.
In recent years a mixed drink affectionately called “Summer Beer”, or “Summer Brew”, has become popular. The Summer Beer recipe is quite simple, requiring only three ingredients. The portion size can be adjusted to to taste or to increase servings.
- 1 (12 oz.) can or bottle craft beer
- 12 oz. fresh lemonade
- 2 oz. citrus vodka
Mix the craft beer, lemonade and vodka in a pitcher and serve over ice. We recommend a quality craft beer, such as Kona’s Wailua Wheat Ale, but a standard American lager will pass. Fresh squeezed lemonade is recommended, but you may also use the concentrated alternative.
