Sea Dog Blue Paw is a summer blueberry beer. While Maine is primarily known for lobster, fresh blueberries are also abundant. This beer pours like a soda with a head that fizzes down quickly. The clear golden color previews a highly carbonated beer with an army of bubbles rising to the top. The pungent aroma is all blueberry. Front to back, the flavor of this beer is pure blueberry. This beer also drinks like a soda with a notable sweetness and carbonation.
Even though this is not a traditional beer, it is thirst quenching and enjoyable, but one per sitting can probably be consumed. Pair with a lobster roll and oceanfront setting this beer would be mint.
