Brewers Description:

“Howling Wolf Weisse Bier is an unfiltered Bavarian-style Hefeweizen. Brewed with a hearty amount of wheat, this Weissbier pours a light clouded golden color with a generous head. Gently hopped to balance the malt sweetness, Howling Wolf’s flavors and aromas are subtle with a hint of fruit and spice. At 5% alcohol by volume, this light-bodied ale is a refreshing session beer for any time of year.”

Our Thoughts On This Summer Beer:

Howling Wolf is attractive with a slightly cloudy golden honey appearance with a head that reduced quickly. The aroma includes banana, orange, clove, and a little spice. The bier tastes much like it smells and is unmistakable unfiltered. It is slightly sweet and full of flavor with hints of clove, coriander, orange, and caramel.

Howling Wolf is a solid summer beer. It may not rank as the most refreshing beer in the hot months, but it is sure enjoyable in the evening when the temperatures fall slightly.

Howling Wolf was included as a summer beer in the 2011 World Market’s “Summer Brews”.
